August 27, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update
The loose material at the pier at Powerhouse Row at grid E/2 was removed and the ground at the main portion of Powerhouse Row was cleaned up for grade beam installation. A corrugated pipe casing was installed at grid E/2 to allow drilling of that pier.
Slab edge form, plastic sheeting and wire mesh was installed, and the second pour was made at the 1st Floor Level slab-on-grade. Equipment pads were also poured in the main mechanical room. Slab edge forms for the first pour were removed, followed by the slab edge forms for the second pour.
Bill’s Electric was hanging boxes and conduits over the 1st Floor at Corridor 108 and began hanging boxes and conduits over the 2nd Floor. Temporary lighting and temporary power was installed over the 3rd Floor. Electrical panel boxes were delivered.
Fayetteville Mechanical continued installing HVAC piping over the 1st and 2nd Floors and capping off loops for future tenants. PVC piping began to be installed over the 2nd Floor. Cast iron waste piping, along with risers, along with ductwork, continued to be installed over the 2nd Floor.
Max True Fireproofing continued spraying fireproofing below the 3rd Floor.
Floor decking, along with safety cables, guardrails and covers, continued to be installed at the 4th Floor Level. Rebar was installed at the balcony areas.
Diagonal bracing continued to be welded off between the 3rd and 4th Floor Levels. 5th Floor Level beams began to be hung. Supports for the intermediary landings at the north and south stairs were installed between the 3rd and 4th Floors.
