October 12, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update

Exterior metal studs continued to be installed at the east and south sides of the 3rd and 4th Floors. Interior partitions continued to be framed up on the 4th Floor, now at the north end and around to the east half. Walls continued to be laid out on the 5th Floor. The storefront window and door openings at the 2nd Floor Level were framed up.

The next section of columns from above the 6th Floor to above the 8th Floor continued to be set and welded in place and beams for the 7th Floor continued to be hung. Bar joists began to be set at the 7th Floor Level.
Walls were laid out on the 6th Floor for use in locating holes for piping to be cored in the slab.

The second half of the grade beams at Powerhouse Row continued to be formed. Rebar was installed, the forms closed up and the remainder of the grade beams were poured.

The 4th Floor framing and columns between the 3rd and 4th Floors continued to be sprayed with fireproofing.

Cast iron drain lines and ductwork continued to be hung over the 4th Floor.

Electrical rough-in began at partitions walls on the 4th Floor.

Wood blocking began to be installed at exterior door and window openings at the 3rd through the 4th Floors.
