October 19, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update

Sprayed fireproofing continued to be applied to the columns from the 3rd to the 4th Floor Levels and at the 4th Floor framing. Lathing for fireproofing was installed at the 5th Floor Level bar joists.

Formwork was stripped from the second half of the grade beams at Powerhouse Row. The 8” foundation walls atop the grade beams were formed.

The third lift of columns, from just above the 6th Floor Level to just above the 8th Floor Level continued to be erected and welded in place. The 7th Floor beams and bar joists continued to be installed. Edge angle and floor decking at the 7th Floor was being installed.

Wood blocking continued to be installed at the window openings on the 2nd through the 4th Floor Levels.

Exterior studs were installed at the north elevation at the 2nd Floor Level and at the east elevation at the 5th Floor Level. Interior partitions at the east half of the 4th Floor Level, along with the corridor walls on the 4th Floor, was being installed. Moisture-resistant drywall was installed at the upper floor mechanical rooms for installation of the main electrical panels.

Plumbing rough in was being installed at the interior partitions on the 4th Floor. Ductwork was being hung over the 5th Floor Level.
