June 23, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update
Structural steel continued to be delivered on a regular basis and, due to lack of storage space, was unloaded and put in place as it was delivered.
Waterproofing of foundation walls continued with Crum & Marshall installing waterproofing membrane at the inside face of the central staircase concrete walls.
Critical Path Design continued backfilling of the exterior foundation walls with drainage rock, continuing from the west wall to the north end.
Crossland Construction dismantled the earlier pedestrian protection walkway at the north end of the project along Dickson Street and began installation of a more substantial structure allowing work to progress overhead.
Structural steel erection continued with installation of the first lift of columns at the south half of the building, with a majority of the Second Floor Level beams having been installed at the north half of the building.
Crossland relocated storage containers and trailers to the utility easement at the west edge of the property in preparation for cutting of grade for Powerhouse Row.
