October 26, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update

Installation of perimeter angle and floor decking for the 7th Floor were completed. The 8th Floor Level beams began to be hung. Diagonal bracing continued to be welded in place below the 7th Floor framing. The south stair was being installed from the 5th to the 6th Floor Level.

Formwork was completed; anchor bolts were installed and the 8” foundation walls at the south half of Powerhouse Row were poured. Block-outs and wire mesh was installed, along with floor drains, and the 7th Floor slab was poured. The north stair was poured on up to the 7th Floor Level.

Ductwork continued to be hung over the 5th Floor Level. Plumbing rough-in continued at the 4th Floor Level interior partition walls. Mechanical piping and valves continued to be installed at the 1st Floor Level main mechanical room. Fire-stopping was being installed at the mechanical and plumbing piping risers at the upper floors.

Floor tracks for interior partition walls were being shot down at the east half of 5th Floor Level. Exterior studs were being installed at the west elevation of the 5th Floor Level. Hollow metal door frames were being set at the 4th Floor Level. The metal studs at the elevator lobby walls were being installed at the 4th Floor Level.

Sprayed fireproofing was being applied at the columns from the 5th Floor to the 6th Floor and at the 6th Level floor framing.

Electrical rough-in continued at the interior partition walls on the 4th Floor Level. The main cables had been pulled from the exterior into the main switchgear on the 1st Floor Level.

The elevator equipment, including machine and hoist beams, arrived on site.
