January 19, 2008, Underwood Plaza Update

Interior partition walls continued to be studded up at the upper floors.

Exterior sheathing board continued to be applied at the west elevation at the 6th through the 8th Floor Levels and at the south elevation at the 7th Floor Level. Sheathing board was being installed at the east elevation from the 2nd Floor Level up to the 6th Floor Level, above the loggia.

Exterior walls were being studded up at the south elevation at the 8th Floor Level.

Preparations for the roof level slab were completed with perimeter angles being completed and reinforcing steel, pipe sleeves and duct block-outs being installed. The roof slab was poured.

Bar joists and bridging were being installed at the south end roof. Perimeter angles were being welded up on the ground and flown up into place. Roof decking began being installed at the south end roof.

Masonry continued to be laid at the west elevation, now above the 3rd Floor Level up to the 4th Floor Level.

HVAC copper piping and cast iron drain lines continued being run over the upper floors. PVC roof drain lines were being hung below the main roof.

The plumbers were laying out walls at the 9th Floor Level and core drilling holes for pipe penetrations.

Equipment pads were formed and poured at the Roof Level mechanical room.

Liquid waterproofing was being applied at the north elevation foundation wall, in preparation for masonry installation there.

Over the weekend, SWEPCO began installing poles for high-voltage power lines along Powerhouse Avenue.

Masonry support relief angles were welded into place along the west elevation at the 4th Floor Level.
